Deliverance Psalm 18:17
Psalm 18:17
New King James Version (NKJV)
From those who hated me,
For they were too strong for me.
It is just time to remind about Christmas and the great day when Jesus was born. He was born to revive us from bondage. We are too earthly. Our mind is so fixed on this ground to which we will return. Our cellphones, car colors, tablets, coupons, 401k, vacation, children’s schools, etc. Though they are important, they do not carry us anywhere to heavenly realm. Only oneĀ from above has come to rescue us and set our minds upon heavenly things. Heaven is real. Otherwise, why we are here.
Only one from heaven has come down to show us the truth that we need to be mindful of things that are eternal. Often, we are so overwhelmed by the needs of the world we need a savior to deliver us from them. He must be stronger than anything else in this world. Not physically but spiritually.
A couple of verses come to mind.
a. I John 4:4 – You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
b. 1 John 1:14 – And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. There is only one time God has come into the world in human flesh and His name is Jesus.
c. Set your mind on things above, not on the things on the earth.
I see there are so many distractions out in the world to come and takes us of this ‘birth right’ to know and have a relationship with him. In fact, there is nothing that delights the soul more than the closeness of our soul being blessed by the union with the Holy Spirit of the father.
Other Religions teach that we are either a part of God or God in everybody’s hearts. No. It is all theoretical. Bible teaches that the man has his spirit depart after death. In that way, the spirit of God comes and dwells in us. He is a person. So, there are two spirits living within the same body and God’s spirit now empowering the poor human body to fight its earthly struggles. We have no power to overcome addictions of our own. We think we got out of one but then entangle into another.
This is because we are pulled by the madness of the world to go after the things of the world. Christmas teaches us to stop, pause and wonder what God wants us to teach. God coming into this world. Why? This is the greatest question of all mankind. Why I am here and what is God doing here?
He is the process of redeeming His people, who are foreordained, to himself through Jesus Christ. He is helping the poor, widows, etc..Above all else, He is helping the people of come out of sins being the savior of the world.
His name is Jesus – for He will save His people from sins. – Mathew 1:21
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. – John 8:34
