Memories

North Korea and common Destinty

Today, the news on the TV is about North Korea and the leader Kim Jong II has died due to fatigue. I was reading the bible and my eyes fell on the Ecclesiastes 9: 5 – For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing.

5 For the living know that they will die,
but the dead know nothing;
they have no further reward,
and even their name is forgotten.
6 Their love, their hate
and their jealousy have long since vanished;
never again will they have a part
in anything that happens under the sun.

It is so true that we know that our life is a vapor. We don’t have that many days to live on earth but we live as if we are going to be here for a while. Our heart refuses to listen to it but continues to crave for the things of this world. Recently, smart phones are the topic of discussion. They are beautiful but hides human eyes from seeing the truth that life is not all about this. In fact, soon you get tired of it. Nothing refreshes like that of the bible.

I also have to go to Clearview credit union to ask for a loan for my mom’s surgery. The minute I think all loans are coming to an end another need arises and sometimes I get tired and restless to get all the debt away. But, heart today was drawn more towards the news of North Korea. Especially because of the dream that I had many years ago about going to North Korea and of the someone pleading to tell them about Jesus. I have to yield to the spirit and wait for his time.

I have to start praying and hoping that there will be a door opened for the people of North Korea who are never exposed to this wonderful news of the Gospel. I take trust in Christ’s words – Mathew 24: 14: – The gospel of this kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come.
