Galatians 1:16

New King James Version (NKJV)

¹⁶ to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood,

I remember my calling when God chose to reveal HIs son in me that I might preach Him. This is the greatest calling to be a part of God’s work. These are the questions that beg answers in relation this high calling

1. Am I walking worthy of this calling?

2. Am I spending time in word and prayer?

3. Am I seeking man’s approval instead of God’s approval?

4. Am I preparing in any way towards God’s calling?

5. Am I sharing the gospel with fellow believers?

These days I see there are a lot of distractions including online deals, Christmas gifts, etc..But, you need to have a greater discipline to be able to spend and pray and renew your mind about things of God.

Psalm 4

³ But know that the LORD has set apart^[a] for Himself him who is godly;
         The LORD will hear when I call to Him.

God did not just choose Paul out of no where. We see in Galatians and from Psalm and in history, he chooses ‘godly’ – to be it is a truthful attachment to the supreme being. I remember when I was a child I used to be really reverent towards things of God (or so called Gods). Once I remember we had to go to school picnic towards Rameshwaram and then the temple nearby. I had sprain in one of my feet that I had to walk with severe pain (that created an indelible impression in my mind that I can remember till now) but I was pressing on because I knew God demands sincere devotion.

It doesn’t matter what caste we belong to but we are all called and pulled toward a supreme being. Most of us it is usually what parents taught or the environment that we grew up in. We grew up in a polytheistic society so everything goes. You don’t have to be adamant on how things get done. Because, most of the time it didn’t matter what you believed in.

But, God the creator of heaven and earth – he opens the skies and comes down into the world and reveals himself as the truth. Yes. How can’t the truth deny or hide itself.
